Basic criteria for a plan application

A Plan Application should meet the participation criteria.

Which steps should I take to submit my plan application?
  1. Log in and click on [new contribution]. Then click on [new business plan] and you can start writing your Plan Application by first filling in a title. From this moment onwards you will have exactly 14 days to submit your Plan Application.
  2. All fields of The Plan Application format should be filled in. Submitting an incomplete plan is not possible and if you try to do so, all forgotten fields will appear in red letters on top of the page. Never type more than the maximum number of characters, for the excessive text will not be visible for investors. Please be as concrete as possible in a limited amount of words. Do not forget to add some pictures of your business.
  3. If you do not wish to submit your Plan Application immediately after having started, it is possible to continue later by clicking on [save this page].
  4. To continue later, please log in again, go to your Plan Application and click on [edit this page]. Now you can continue writing.
  5. Before submitting your Plan Application, you will be asked if you would like to upload your complete Business Plan at the same time and secondly, if you would like to have a coach. If you decide to upload your complete Business Plan immediately, please check if it fits the criteria and do not forget to add your CV to your personal profile. read more on submitting your complete business plan here. If you would like to become eligible for a coach to help you writing your complete business plan, you can express your interest here. You can also specify your coach need.
  6. After you have submitted your plan it will be locked untill it has passed assessment, either being rejected or accepted. This means you cannot edit your Plan Application while being assessed. The same counts for the complete Business Plan.
  7. The BiD Network Foundation will start assessing your Plan Application after you have submitted it and you will be informed on the status as soon as possible by email.
  8. You can only create and submit only one plan at the same time. If your plan is rejected by assessment, your plan application will stay visible for you and for the BiD Network Foundation, but not anymore for other users of the BiD Network. After rejection it is also possible to start writing a new Plan Application.
  9. If you have questions, please send an email to or call +31 20 7555 000.
How much time do I have to submit my Plan Application?

After starting a Plan Application, you will have exactly 14 days to completely submit it. If you cannot complete your plan within 14 days, it will expire automatically and be taken out of our database. This means that it will not be visible anymore for members and visitors (except for yourself and crew of the BiD Network Foundation), and is not possible to resubmit it.
Please note that the business plan competition you would like to participate in, MAY HAVE AN EARLIER DEADLINE! Check the deadlines (and other information) here.

Trust Settings

To hide your Plan Application set the Trust Settings view of the page to “Friends”: This page is visible for -> Friends. It is important to select "Friends" as this enables the BiD Network Foundation to still present your plan to coaches and experts. To confirm, click on ‘Save/view this page’ in the top left corner of page. Because your plan will be locked after submission, it is important to set the trust settings before you submit your plan.
