BiD Challenge: 

Participate in the BiD Challenge Kenya

By participating in the Challenge you can get coaching for your business plan, National prizes and International Prizes.

The BiD Challenge consists of 2 Rounds.

*Round 1: In this round you present your business proposal. This is done by filling in the online business plan format. The plans will go through pre-screening and screening and comments will be made on your business proposal by our experts which you can use in Round 2. The best 25 proposals get personal coaching.

*Round 2: Here you will develop your business idea to a full business plan. All participants who submit a proposal that meets our criteria are invited to continue with the challenge and their business plans are judged by a jury. The 10 best business plans are selected and ranked.

How do you submit your plan for Round 1?
  1. Join the BiD Network and login and create your personal profile.
  2. Create a business plan on this website.
    • Make a clear description of your business proposal and add keywords and photo's.
    • You can decide what parts of your business plan are visible to the public and which are not.
  3. The deadline for submission of your plan May 31st, 2007
  4. Each plan will be screened. You get feedback on your proposal on June 28. With the feedback you can go on to Round 2 (on the condition that your plan complies with the criteria and is of sufficient quality).
How do you submit your plan for Round 2?

1.Write a full business plan and financials. A complete business plan contains some essential ingredients, which you find under .....
2. Upload your full business plan (by adding it to the presentation of your business proposal of Round 1). You are allowed to upload 1 document (Word or pdf), so please include a good index and the financials in the same document.
3. Submit your business plan before the 3rd September, 2007
4. You can give interested people or friends access to your full business plan.

Finalists are invited to the BiD SME Market Place in October in Nairobi where the Award ceremony will take place.

The winner will get KSh. 1,000,000 and the second and third winners get Ksh. 750,000 and Ksh. 500,0000 respectively in the local Challenge

The 2 entrepreneurs with the best plans will be invited to the Netherlands. Together with 12 other finalist they will compete in the International BiD Satellite Challenge and are eligible for max 20,000 euro. Besides they will enjoy a week of workshops, networking the Final Award Event and International BID Market Place.
