Overcoming cultural barriers.
In my experience lack of cultural understanding between the parties involved – and their professional advisers – is a contributory factor to many disputes, wasting time and money. My understanding of cultures enables me to identify and handle sensitive issues and potential misunderstandings as – or before – they arise.
It is generally the small things that make a big difference: how you ask a question, the way you explain something and put it into context, knowing what assumptions not to make. More than a translation is required when the parties involved have very different legal systems and cultural backgrounds.
