Jomsom Valley, Nepal -

The Jomsom trek is the final third of the Annapurna Circuit. The trail follows the Kali Gandaki, deepest gorge in the world, between the soaring peak of Annapurna & Dhaulagiri. Finally, it emerges to the north of the main Himalayan range, on the dry, desert- like Tibetan Plateau. A several days walk beyond Jomsom, takes you the final destination, Muktinath, the holy temple. This trek allows access to the high mountains of the Himalayas within a reasonable timeframe and without ascending to extreme altitude. You will then return to Pokhara by taking a 20 minute scenic flight from Jomsom. This trek can also be customized. The trek starts from Pokhara.

This trekking only takes a week so it is ideal for people who are short on time to trek to one of the ost popular trekking regions: Annapurna. It offers a spectacular view of 15 different mountains as well as an opportunity to view sunrise from Poonhill Top (3210mtr.). It also gives you a chance to experience Gurung culture and traditions. The trek begins from Nayapul after an hour drive from Pokhara.
