My background is in small enterprise development, main focus on developing countries. My interest in small enterprise development started during my master in International Business at the University of Maastricht, during my exchange programme in Peru. After working in Cameroon, I continued my academic career at the University of Amsterdam where I conducted a master in International Development Studies. I carried out my final thesis for the ILO in Sri Lanka. In the meantime I have worked for Unilever, Business in Development Network, ETC International, and University of Amsterdam, and carried out projects for NCDO, Fair Ventures and Stichting Betuwe Wereldwijd in different parts of the world.
Currently I am working in Tanzania as the Marketing Manager of D.light Design East Africa; a social enterprise with the mission to enable households without reliable electricity to attain the same quality of life as those with electricity.
We have started by replacing every kerosene lantern with clean, safe and bright light, in order to ensure all households at the base of the pyramid with "A Brighter Future"..
