Oscar Lema

Mr. Oscar Lema is a practising business development service provider with more than six (6) years of right experience and attitude of working with entrepreneurs of Small and SME businesses, large National and International projects and programmes. Mr. Lema has since 2001 been engaged with TaTEDO www.tatedo.org as Fundraising Coordinator and a Project Officer of the African Rural Energy Enterprise Development (AREED), a programme supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) www.areed.org. As AREED business development service provider and trainer, Mr. Lema has extensive experience in provision of enterprise development services to entrepreneurs i.e. assisting entrepreneurs in business ideas generation/refining, business opportunity analysis, marketing, designing of business models, business management to ultimately obtaining viable and fundable business plans. As trainer, Mr. Lema has good experience in undertaking training needs assessment, preparing and conducting demand-driven training workshops for start – up and existing businesses as well as linking entrepreneurs with viable business plans to investors and financial institutions for funding. Over the past five years (as of June 2006) Mr. Lema, an accomplished business developer has developed six (6) successful business investments of total investment worth US$ 644,564. As Fundraising Coordinator, Mr. Lema is responsible for formulating and developing as well as implementing the TaTEDO’s fundraising strategies and initiatives
Supported by invaluable experience gained in his work, Mr. Lema has in-depth, practical knowledge of entrepreneurship development and transactional experience in start-up and early-stage investment as well as fund organisations. He also has substantial knowledge in project proposal write-up that links renewable energy, environment conservation and poverty alleviation for urban, peri - urban and rural areas, which are feasible, reachable and cost effective.
