Currently I am an Investor matchmaker for BiD Network, and work on matching financiers to BiD Network's most qualified entrepreneurs.
Coming from an international background, I have always been interested in other cultures. This interest drove me, during my study, to join a project in doing tailor-made research for Dutch companies in Brazil.
I studied International Business Administration in Maastricht and then did a minor in Political Science in France, after which I got the opportunity to work and live in Sri Lanka for a while..a choice which was easily made!
Through this experience I was able to really see the added value of supporting (small) business in developing countries and in this I found a great way to combine a joint passion for trade and development corporation.
Back in the Netherlands I learned about the Business in Development (BiD) Network Foundation and their engagement in this area. I am now a member of the BiD Network team and find it a great and fulfilling way to tackle poverty in a structural manner!
