Tobias : Making Poverty Reduction a Business
I am Lecturer in Finance teaching Financial services, Financial management and Financial Planning courses for Undergraduate and Graduate school, at the Faculty of Commerce and Management, University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I am also Associate member to the University of Dar es Salaam Entrepreneurship Center (UDEC) and Deputy treasurer to the Faculty of Commerce and Management Alumni Association Company Limited. I am the Vice President to the President's Office of the Tanzania Professionals Network.
I am also the Founder of the East Africa Consulting Group Company Limited (www.eaconsults.com ) and Tanzania Automobile Magazine (www.eaconsults.com/automag), the only Automobile Magazine in Tanzania.
I have also been involved in SMEs consulting and consulted over 20 SMEs in various sectors on Business Planning, Operations management, Restructuring, Marketing, etc. We have been able to transact about 5bil Tshs a year for SMEs projects, mostly financed by commercial banks in Tanzania.
I am was the Coordinator for Tanzania BID Challenge 2007.
