Roelof/Rodolfo Stuurwold, Dutchman living and working in the Dominican Republic and strongly envolved with his fellow neighbour.
Come from the Netherlands where I worked in sales and marketing of office equipment, printers and commercial printing. In recent years I worked as an independent entrepreneur in designing and managing websites, conducting web editing and providing computer and Internet classes for adults.
Since two years I have lived in the Dominican Republic, where my wife was born, and am working in agriculture and in supporting poor sections of the population. Since the beginning I am involved in the microfinance and Kiva. One of my tasks is repairing and maintaining water pumps in the residential communities and am familiar with the women and children, whose often walking for miles to find water and wood to fetch their their daily water and cooking needs.
I am going to start a SunCooker project where we will manufacture and assembling the SunCooker and will do the distribution and sales on a microfinance base in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
