My name is Marco Piñatelli Bracamonte, I’m was born in Peru and graduated as bachelor of business administration with specialization in logistics and international trade
I have an experience of over 10 years working on business projects that are linked to the use of alternative resources that are environmental friendly.
For 4 years I have been developing a new activity using sphagnum moss, a totally organic natural product that serves as a clean substrate for plants that are highly demanding of moisture such as orchids; sphagnum moss has 2 main features: high capacity moisture absorption (up to 20 times its weight) and its acidic property that makes it a natural bactericide.
This resource is from the Peruvian Andes with special characteristics and high quality and is highly valued internationally; its harvesting processes allow us to develop a sustainable activity, environmental friendly and provide many jobs to the Andean communities because it’s a totally manual activity.
The company is growing and I am looking for new investments in order to reforest new areas to expand the reserve of sphagnum moss making it sustainable, in addition to achieving better water uptake and CO2 to form a cluster around this business that benefits more than 4,800 families found in these Andean regions which are the poorest in the country.
