Tom van den Berg

During my studies in Hull (UK), where I took a BSc in Business and Financial Management, I became interested in socio-economic development when taking a module concerning the World Trade Organization.

After graduation I returned to Groningen where I am currently enrolled in a MSc International Business and Management. Fortunately, Groningen offers various activities to meet other students interested in development and foreign aid, and it was during one of these activities I found out about BiD.

As well because I believe that a sufficient supply of entrepreneurship and loanable funds contribute to sustainable economic development, I became a volunteer for the BiD Challenge 2007, which has been a great experience.
