An entrepreneur with fifteen years of experience in building sustainable business in Agri inputs sector, manufacturing, marketing, sales distribution channels and liaison with government organization, natural resource planning, research in traditional technologies like iron smelting, natural dyeing and herbal medicinal plants. Built a small business enterprise in manufacturing and marketing products related to biotechnology like Bio-fertilizers, neem based Biopesticides and organic farming.
Accomplishments:
As a founder and CEO of Sri Sai Agri Bio Labs Pvt. Ltd, a small business enterprise was responsible for vision, strategy, fund raising and installation of the manufacturing facility for entire range of organic inputs viz., Bio-Fertilizers and Control Agents, Neem Based BioPesticides, Composting from Industrial/Agriwaste etc..
Established sales and distribution network across sixteen districts in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand selling micro nutrients and bio fertilizers and built the brand “SRISAI” and released a wide range of over 40 products across the spectrum of organic inputs and Quality Plant material.
Built the sales and marketing strategy yielding 100% year to year revenue growth since its inception. Responsible for generating the revenue from Sugar industry, clients like GMR Sugar, Sankili and NCS Sugars Ltd., Bobbili and the NGO sector engaged in promotion of Organic Horticulture.
Diversified the operations to manufacture the bio-fertilizers under the brand of Sai Vardhani and leased the facility from Madras Fertilizers Limited, Chennai at Kondapalli near Vijayawada.
As an Additional Director CAPART, advised government of India on Tribal development, research in traditional technologies on Iron smelting and dyeing and artisan development (bamboos, and Handloom weavers). Worked with various NGOs in building the partnerships and leverage the market potential for artisan products.
Passion: Study of Indian traditional science and technology practices and their continued relevance in the present context.
Professional Experience relevant to the Project: The CEO of the project is a technocrat having the experience of coordinating project implementation program at national level. In this connection he has been well experienced with socio-economical aspects of bamboo craft, natural dyes and medicinal plants extract from natural forest. Besides this, he was actively involved in works on designing, value addition and processes improvement of the above stated forest wealth for livelihood development and rural prosperity.
In 1996, he has started his own village based small scale industry for
production of micronutrients for agriculture and horticulture. In order to serve the rural
people he diversified to broader aspect of rural enterprise development by entering into
organic farming, manufacture of Biofertilizers, Neem based Biopesticides, Micro-
propagation of forest and horticulture plants. While involving in such activity he has
been well experienced in project implementation in commissioning of heavy machinery,
solvent extraction plant, designing of Biotechnology laboratory and building of quality
teams with professionals and untrained rural youth. The basic aim is to stop rural urban
migration by creating quality work opportunities in rural areas through providing access
to high technology areas based on locally available resource.
