I am setting up the Living Stone Competence Centre for Intercultural Entrepreneurship in Leuven (Belgium) togheter with Bob Elsen, pioneer of sustainable tourism (www.joker.be) and prof. Patrick Develtere, expert in sustainability issues related to cooperation and development (K.U.Leuven - HIVA).
Our mission is to use the integration of cultures as a source of prosperity and tolerance in our glocalising world. Main activities are:
- research and development concerning the dynamic integration of entrepreneurship, interculturality and sustainable development
- setting up training courses to make people act more effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
We launched Living Stone Gateways to Mali, India and China: a one week, intense cross cultural sensitivity training for profit and non profit organisations. Romania and Argentinia will follow late 2007. The travellers were enthussiastic, there learned a lot about themselves too.
We also cherish Living Stone Dialogue, our ngo partner, and stimulate local entrepreneurship in sustainable tourism in poor countries.
If you feel curious, check our website www.lscoop.com and share your views and inspiring ideas.
