Anneke Evers
After finishing my study on International Business, a minor in Political Science and spending a year in France, it was time for new challenges in life.
Coming from an international background, I have always been interested in other cultures. This interest drove me, during my study, to join a project in doing tailor-made research for Dutch companies in Brazil. When I then got the opportunity to work and live in Sri Lanka for a while, the choice was easily made. Through this experience I was able to see the added value of supporting (small) business in developing countries and in this I found a great way to combine a joint passion for trade and development corporation.
Back in the Netherlands I learned about the Business in Development (BiD) Network Foundation and their engagement in this area. I am now a member of the BiD Network team and find it a great and fulfulling way to tackle poverty in a structural manner!
