I am a development economist with 12 years of experience in micro and small finance. I started my career with IPC GmbH in 1995 as a credit advisor to Centenary Rural Development Bank in Uganda. In 2000, I founded and managed the successful MEB (now ProCredit Bank) Kosovo on behalf of a group of international shareholders. In 2003 I moved to Angola where I founded and co-managed NovoBanco. I also worked as Regional Director Africa for ProCredit Holding, a network of microfinance banks and I participated in short term consultancies in Asia (Indonesia, Philippines) Africa (Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Mozambique, Ghana, DRC) and Eastern Europe (Bosnia, Albania, Poland).
During 2007 and the first quarter of 2008 I held the position of Director and General Manager of the newly established BiD Network Foundation, where I focused on the internal organisation and the roll-out of the local businessplan competitions in developing countries.
Currently I serve as Senior Vice President - Operations at Opportunity International, a leading microfinance network. I am a non-executive board member of Opportunity Albania and Opportunity Microfinance Romania.
