At the University of Groningen I studied Business and Technologies. My specialisation is focused on the structure of production systems. In this light I did an internship in a large toy factory in Sri Lanka. Due to the poverty I saw, and people I met with whom I discussed this, I became interested in development work where the challenge should be to put charity aside and create value for all parties involved. Back in the Netherlands I found the BiD Network to be engaged in this and decided to join them.
