I am working for a projects and consultancy unit of the Dutch utility Nuon. Mainly involved in innovation projects for the grid controller (Distribution System Operator). Fields of work are distributed generation (how to accomodate large amounts of generator into the network), intelligent grids (more intelligence into the electricity networks), powerline communication (using the electricity network as a communication medium). All subjects strongly related to the transition of our energy system into a sustainable, reliable and affordable system. My background is electrical engineering at the Eindhoven Technical University.
Favorite sport: mountain biking.
Favorite way of travelling: by bike.
