IT-opportunities in Nepal
Studytour January 24-28, to Kathmandu
The interest for offshore sourcing is growing in The Netherlands, and many companies are currently investigating the advantages of international IT-collaboration. Most of the Dutch software projects are being done in India. Other developing countries offer opportunities as well, but are lesser known. An example is Nepal.
To increase the visibility of Nepal, we organize a Dutch IT-studytour to Kathmandu. This will take place from January 24 - 28, 2006, and representatives from Dutch companies and journalists will take part in this mission. They will meet local IT-service providers, the CAN (Computer Association of Nepal), the HLCIT (High Level Commission for IT) and an IT Park. They will also visit the annual “CAN Information Technology Show & Conference": www.can.org.np/caninfotech2006.php. In addition, a visit to the “IT Conference 2006" will take place, titled: "Leveraging ICT to Create an Engine of Growth for Nepal" : www.itconference.org.np.
The studytour is also open for participants from other countries.
