What is an application?

An application is a business proposal filled out in a pre-fixed format, providing a short overview of your business proposition, your skills and experience and the development impact of your plan. Your application is linked to your profile and is the public presentation of your business to other BiD Network members.

Participation criteria

An application should meet the participation criteria.

Steps to take to submit your application

  1. Log in and click on [new contribution] and then [new business plan]. Start writing your application by first filling in a title.
  2. All fields of the application format should be filled in completely in order to submit your plan. If you try to submit an incomplete plan, the forgotten fields will appear in red letters on top of the page. Never type more than the maximum number of characters, for the excessive text will not be visible for investors. Be as concrete as possible in a limited amount of words.
  3. To make your application more attractive, add some pictures of your business.
  4. If you do not wish to submit your application immediately after having started, you can continue later by clicking on [save this page]. To continue later, please log in again, go to your application and click on [edit this page]. You can now continue writing.
  5. Before submitting your application, indicate if you would like to have a coach to help you writing your complete business plan. Secondly, you have the opportunity to submit your complete business plan documents right away. If you already have your documents available, check if they fit the assessment criteria. However, we suggest that you do one step at a time, so that you can benefit from the feedback provided by experts reviewing your plan.
  6. After you submitted your application it will be locked for assessment. You cannot edit your plan while it is being assessed.
  7. You will be informed about the assessment result by email.

Time to submit your application

We advise you to submit your application as soon as possible, preferably within 14 days after you started the application. Please note that the business plan competition you would like to participate in, may have an earlier deadline

You can only create one plan at the same time. If your application has been accepted, it will stay visible to BiD Network visitors for at least a year after your last editing date.

Trust Settings

Through Trust Settings you control the level of visibility of text, attachments and photos uploaded to the BiD Network site trust settings. Because your plan will be locked after submission, it is important to set the trust settings before you submit your plan.
