• Kasigau Wildlife Limitedlooks at Tourism as an alternative Source of livelihood for the Kasigau Community in the coastal province. Kasigau will be a wildlife sanctuary in Tsavo National Park. The objective of the team is to create an elegant wilderness experience that builds a stronger Africa

• Uchumi grain Millers (E.A.) Limited purpose is to address the issue food security. The teams goal is to satisfy the food gap need for high quality grade 1 sifted maize mill for low income groups in Kenya.

• BEKEDEV "Eco-Organic Health Products of Africa" objective is to create jobs and be a source of income and environment conservation through Bee-keeping and trade in tree based organic eco-health products

• Moringa Oleifa Nutrition Supplement "Afya Uji Mix" is a moringa enriched porridge flour. Afya Uji Mix is enriched with vitamins, and other essential disease preventing nutrients from Moringa. The objective of the team is to reach a broad public and improve their livelihood economically.

You too can Participate in BiD Challenge Kenya 2009!

The BiD Challenge Kenya 2009 is focusing more on implementation of business concepts and growth business rather than just good ideas on paper. The aim of this is to encourage individuals with good businesses concepts to not just write good concepts but also to execute them and those with growth plans to take action.

Previous years’ Kenyan business plans were innovative, out-of-the box –a testimony to the creativity, resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit of the Kenyan. Be inspired in the same way the others have been.

• Get a coach for your business plan
• Expand you network
• Win a business trip to the Netherlands, participate for the cash prizes and present your project to a poll of international investors

How to be involved compete in the BiD Network Kenya
To compete, you must present your business idea on the BiD Network:

▪ First check if you are eligible to participate by reading the participation criteria. Click on the box ‘Who can participate?’ on the right.
▪ Become a member of the BiD Network and create a profile. Click on the box ‘How to present your plan’ on the right.
▪ Complete the online business concept format. Click on 'new contribution' after you created a profile and logged in.

If your plan is accepted you will receive an email from us within 7 days after submission. In this email we will inform if you:
1. Have been accepted to the BiD Challenge Kenya
2. How to attach a complete plan to your online business plan format
3. If you are eligible to receive a coach
4. When and how the finalists will be selected

After you start writing your plan you will have only 14 days to complete and submit it. You can submit your plan by clicking on 'submit your plan' at the top or bottom of your plan. If you already have a complete business plan you can attach it to your business concept directly.
