The Third Chamber is looking for members, join before may 31th
The Third Chamber is a shadow-parliament in the Netherlands consisting of 120 Dutch nationals and 30 representatives from developing countries. The Third Chamber deals with international cooperation. The members work on proposals and they have discussions with Dutch politicians. In addition, members of The Third Chamber work to inform the Dutch public about all aspects of development cooperation. If you feel involved in current affairs, if you refuse to accept poverty and oppression in the world, then you should consider applying for The Third Chamber.
As a member of The Third Chamber you work on proposals for development policy. You can do this alone or in groups. The proposals you will make deal with international development. The Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations are the framework.
For every proposal and idea, the members of The Third Chamber will try to hear the opinion of people from developing countries. It is essential that The Third Chamber discusses with the people from developing countries, not about them. And that is why we are looking for people from developing countries preferably those who will be living in the Netherlands from September 2008 until May 2009.
