CARTADO EIRL is a family company, dedicated to producing and commercialization of olive´s derivatives of Ilo Valley since 9 years ago.

CARTADO EIRL began yours operations establishing a strategic alliance with one of the two existing plants in the Valley of Ilo that group almost to 50% of the farmers of the Ilo Valley initiating the great positive change of the olive oil in the Ilo Valley.

Under strategic alliance the plant produced the olive oil and it was packed under quality standards fixed by CARTADO EIRL, according with Peruvian Technical Standard and CARTADO EIRL marketed it, using an appropriate positioning plan. Later on, this strategic alliance included table olive, under the same system.

In 2008, CARTADO acquired an almazara, signing an agreement with the same plant to be in charge of the whole production of olive oil, using for it its almazara and that of the Plant. CARTADO request the plant for

What is your product/service?

Quality derivatives from OLIVES and OLIVE OIL, innovative and competitive prices for the use of the top technology.
The total range consists of 7 products groups with about 15 products each
1. Olives, table olives, natural black, green, stuffed, pate.
2. Other products related with the olives, new presentations.
3. Olive oil, virgin, extra virgin, refined, blend, fusion with sacha inchi and avocado oil, flavored for children.
4. Other products related with the olive oil, news presentations.
5. Pharmaceutical line, olive Soap, Shampoo, pills, cream hydratants, etc.
6. Other products related with the whole the olive’s productive chain, molture service and wood olive handicraft
7. treatment of residuals, Briquettes of residue, vegetable fiber, pellets, alcohol, lactic acid, dilutes vegetable for line of steam, etc.

What customer need/problem do your products/services satisfy?

Puts within reach of all people the benefits of the olive oil and the olives, “functional” foods in packages that guarantee their characteristic texture, scent and flavor and quality easy to manipulate, to transport, to open, do not occupy space, surpassing the disadvantages of portability and manipulation with the traditional packages, to reasonable price

How will you make the product/service?

The project intends to buy the olives in branch (however, the multure service will be given to the olive farmers, they can bring its olive for maceration or for olive oil process), to harvest them using the appropriate techniques, to take them to the plant, to weigh them, to wash them and to make a classified one and preselection, to determine which go to maceration and which to olive oil.

The olives that go to maceration will enter to different maceration fibers separated by caliber and maturity grade (green, mulattress, black). This will avoid to has to gauge after having macerated since this causes cases of fish eye in the olives that stay at plant.

For the olives that go for oil it will classify them for their maturity grade, entering to mill same day of having harvested. This will avoid that the peroxides rise (it is oxidized less).

At the moment, we already have equipment for example, maceration fibers, an olive mill for olive oil production, big blender, the laundry recipients and apropiate accessories necesaries in process handmade (for extrusion with presses)

For the maceration process control it will use control instruments in each maceration fibers that gave a sign to the control room where we will supervise the whole maceration process, controlling all parameters like: Salinity, temperature, quality of the water, brine level, among other.

For control of olive oil line of business, it will have control equipments that will give signs to the control room where you will supervise all the parameters like: Level of the blender, temperature of the jacket, temperature of the cream, quantity of received liquid, quantity of oil, quantity of extracted water vegetable, quantity of residue, etc.

To make this kind of controls with location of equipments if is necessary, it is required electronic control instruments in the points to take the readings, a software and the appropriate hardware for the control room.

This electronic control philosophy will be applied to other productive lines that it considers this project. Storage, Almazara, Laboratory, Plant of intermediate products, Plant of finished products, Plants of refined oils, plant of cosmetic products, Plants of having packed of fish preserves in olive oil, carpentry Shop for olive tree wood, Plants of containers, it Plants process of residuals, lines of steam, energy and water, etc.

All the products to offer will be produced using the norms NTP and COI for the derivatives of the olive tree. Currently, the produced products have certification KASHER, but it is required of certification HACCP, ISOs, Fair takes, etc.

The Plan considers that requires I & D that the engineers themselves will made it, to go refining the processes gradually until arriving to the good point.

All the instruments and control equipments will be acquired in the domestic market. The implementation and setting in march will be made by our personnel staff in Ilo and the promoter has long experience he worked in leader companies like Minero Peru and Southern Peru and he has the contacts with qualified personnel staff for such goal.

We intends to implement the company with a plant able to process at least 60% of the current production of olives of Ilo Valley, we estimate in two million kilogrames. So it will be bought 250 fibers of 1,700 Kg. and 250 of 3,200 Kg. each one.

To implement an almazara (place of process) able to take place more than 500,000 liters of olive oil for campaign.

To produce the new lines of businesses we intend the implementation of a small plant to refine olive oils, small plant for cosmetic products, small plant of fish preserve in olive oil, small plant of residuals treatment, small plants of containers of plastic and of glass, shop of wooden carpentry of olive tree, laboratory and related areas.

The Plan contemplates the use of tip technology in all the processes. For example, for macerated of the olives it is considered the implementation of control instruments, for supervise from a CONTROL ROOM, the evolution of the one macerated of the olives. These equipments will be installed in each one of the maceration fibers, providing permanent information of: Temperature, salinity, PH, yeasts, hardness of water of the brine, bitterness and texture of the olives, among other.

With this it is intend market the entirety production giving added value guaranteeing the continuity of the operations, the quality, competitiveness, innovation and the affordable prices of the products.

NEW LINES OF PRODUCTION
We intends to increase the new following lines of business:

For table olives
Olives canned opens up easy, to the hole, Padded with sacha inchi (enriched with omega 3 and 6), Padded with fruits (the last thing), in containers of ceramic copies of Chiribaya Culture, Other products in development.

For olive oil,
1. Oil in glass miniatures and plastic. (the women's portfolios), in can opens up easy, in spray, cosmetic line (soap, shampoo, moisturizing creams, others), natural line: In capsules, oil for children, coalitions with oil of sacha inchi and with avocado oil, fish preserves in olive oil, other products in development

Other related products,
1. Craft in olive tree wood, treatment of residuals (Briquettes of residue, vegetable fiber, pellets, alcohol, lactic acid, dilutes vegetable for line of steam, etc.), blown of glass containers, blown of containers of plastic, diverse services and Multure at tirad.

Explain how you will sell your product/service (marketing strategy) and how you will reach your customers (distribution strategy)?

PUBLICITY.- Publicity in Internet and printed material, announcements in TV, it presses, radios, yellow pages, WEB.

PROMOTION OF SALES.- Preferential prices for income, special discounts for purchase volumes, campaign of gifts and raffles.
RELATE PUBLIC.- Holding in fairs, looking for patronages, carrying out events, lunches, takeing advantage of the press notes (Publicity).
PERSONAL SALE.- To make personal presentations.

DIRECT MARKETING.- To make communications personalized with the consumers.

ELECTRONIC MARKETING.- To make mailing to potential consumers. WEB, Blog, message to cellular, telemarketing.

OTHERS
• Installation of stores in the principal shopping: Jockey Plaza, Plaza Camacho, Plaza Sur, Mega Plaza, These points will be resonances boxes that will allow to make tasting; and, the most important thing, to go projecting to the mind of the consumers the trademark. We considered that around 100,000 people would read the trademark in the installed points and 10% will taste the products, we pretend that 1% will be new clients.
• Installation of modules for taste olives in 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%, (corresponding to the years 1, 2, 3,4 and 5 of the plan) they were also used to distribute brochures of our products. With this it will be possible to relate the table olives with the breakfast and the lunch, creating the consumer spending habit and promoting the trademark of CARTADO. The idea is to achieve that the trademark is in the imaginary of the most of people.
• The same thing will be made in Drugstores, pharmacies and natural houses, to promote the cosmetic line, functional products and nutraceutics.
• In Restaurants, to promote sachets.
• In Hotels, to promote special pickings for executive breakfasts.
• It will Be signed strategic alliances with the establishments of transportations that they are good foods to boron to promote the sachets and DoyPACK.
• To sponsor radial and television kitchen programs, giving baskets with the products of CARTADO.
• Contract the services of “Cruces Y Avenidas” , company specialized in promoting products offering them to drivers in the crossings of the principal Avenues and of more seating capacity.
• For corporate sales, personalized interviews will be made preparing products to the measure that is to say with the required characteristics.

For the case of multure we had considered this project will offer a multure service in the following processes: Macerated of olives, preparation of table olives, service of having stuffed of olives, Elaboration of olive oil, Sale of containers of plastic, Sale of glass containers, Service of design of labels and containers, service of having packed and labeling, Service of constitution of establishments, Elaboration of craft in olive tree wood, Others.

The revenues for this concept in average will represent 1% of the total of the revenues of the Plan.

Currently, CARTADO´s products are sold bigger and smaller in their 3 stores: 1 located in Ilo and 2 in Lima city. They are also in supermarkets (TOTTUS, CANDY, MINKA) gasoline station’s chain (PRIMAX), Sales Center of La Molina Agrarian University (UNALM), it has signed a distribution’s agreement for national market with DROKASA company for olive oil in bulk and they have intention purchase of 150,000 lt. of refined olive oil for 2009. It has a finished products distributor in Cajamarca region, it is negotiating with a distributor in Arequipa region and another one in northern of Peru.

For this stage and with this project, we will strengthen and it prioritized the vertical and corporate distribution, to appropriate the products in strategic points, then to medium and long term is projected to operate with a horizontal distribution, arriving inclusive to the "kiosk" and "the cart."

For it will use it a combination of the own force of sales of the establishment and an alliance with vertical or corporate and horizontal big distributors.

The prices for the raw material should stay stable this year since is a year of good crop in all the Valleys producing of olives.

However, it is possible it suffers some increment around 10% to 15% in the year 2009, then it would lower in the 2010, to ascend again in the 2011. The classic behavior of the price curve of the olives in the country. ( one year a good crop, next a bad one). This plan intends to revert this behavior supporting to achieve more standard productions and predictive with its PROMOTIONAL FOUND.

For the item Other lines related with the olive oil, we had considered a quantity average of 100 ml. for sale unit to a price average of S/. 3.30 (USD $ 1.05).

For the olive oil in sachets (Olive Sachets), it will stay in the market with a price average for unit of S/. 0.67 (USD $ 0.21). However, it should be indicated that the strength of the company will be in the sale of: Olive oil, extra virgin and refined in bulk to big consortium for fish preserves, agro industry and other, we has considered that the Peruvian demand only would arrive about 500,000 lt. year to a price average of USD $ 4.00 / lt. this would increase the profitability of the project vastly, considering the technology tip that was used, the cost of production of each liter of olive oil like maximum would arrive to USD $ 2.50

For the item Other lines related with olives have been considered a quantity average of 300 mg. for sale unit to a price average of S/. 3.50 (USD $ 1.11).

For the table olives, it will stay the products DOY PACK in the market to a price average for unit of S/. 2.50 (USD $ 0.79).

To whom are you selling, what is your market?

In general, the estimated purchases of the main clients or consumers for the first year that considers this plan are:
- Fishing companies, agro industrial companies, big consortiums, big distributors, corporate institutions, etc. - USD $ 1,047,971.
- Distributors wholesalers - USD $ 793,917.
- Supermarkets - USD $ 476,350.
- Stores, restaurants, bakeries, hotels, Transport Establishments that serve feeding aboard, gas stations, etc. - USD $ 317,567.

Describe your competitors?

The competition produces and markets table olives and olive oil. Before outlining this investment project , in Perú nobody bet to diversify and increase the briefcase of the derivatives of the olive tree for example: Pharmaceutical line (olive Soap, Shampoo, cream hydratants, etc.), olives for elderly or third age people (low salt), fish preserves in olive (to date some produce olive oil and other you conserve of fish) oil, natural line: Oil for children (flavored) you merge (mix of the olive oil with Sacha Inchi oil and with avocado oil), oil of olive pills, others in development.

The competition controls 95% of the domestic market, if they are successful most began like a family micro company and now they are small and medium.

But the market continues without being satisfied or assisted so the consumer spending per capita year man is very low but they go in increase. For example, currently countries are still importing olive oil.

In all cases that similar products our prices will be inferior. For the rest of products doesn't have them the competition.

What makes your business different/better than your competitors (competitive advantage)?

Creating the consumption habit, having products of quality, innovative and at competitive prices for the use of the top technology and taking advantage of CETICOS Ilo benefits, really we will expand the consumption of the derivatives of the olive, estimating the offered products will have assured 50% of Peruvian market. For that, we propose to have an efficient and effective organization that took charge of a good covering in distribution at vertical and horizontal level in such way that the estimated range of sales will be definitely completed.

Concluding finally the Plan offered not only offers profitability, but rather it also considers as very important the social and environmental aspects and that definitively constitutes a greater level of revenues.

What makes your business, your product or service innovative?

This plan of business proposes a different alternative to those outlined previously in our country: To develop the whole productive chain of olive tree products since cultivation lands, olive tree, the olive farmer, the derivative products with top technology, the human resource, the social and environmental impact, the city, the country, until the final consumer.

Concluding finally the Plan offered not only offers profitability, but rather it also considers as very important the social and environmental aspects and that definitively constitutes a greater level of revenues.

The promotor of this Plan will be the General Manager,has a wide experience of more than 35 years in the different fields, he will be very important for this project ahead. He has a lot of experience, as developing the processes of the offered plan, quality of the products, knowledge of top technology around the world assures the implementation with success the offered plan.

The promoter positively changed the history of the Olive oil in the Valley of Ilo. Before the oil, never was it elaborated and packaged maintaining national and international the standards. CARTADO was the first did that it

Turned a familiar company into a company leader in the derivatives of the olive tree, with a invoicing superior to the USD$ 333.000 annual en 8 years.

The personnel staff CARTADO have the necessary knowledge for the maceration lines, almazara, intermediate and finished products (classics only). Currently, we have engineers and technicians in alimentary industries with a lot of experience and operatives people have enough experience to produce without problems.

The CARTADO´s personnel staff we have at this time have the necessary knowledge for the maceration lines, almazara, intermediate and finished products (classics only). General Manager, is the promoter of this Plan, has a wide experience of more than 35 years in the different fields, he will be very important to take this project ahead. The Algarrobal District is the area of influence of this Plan and to revert the situation shown in the square up we intend the following:
