The new website is online and Dutch designers can now submit their design for products produced in developing countries for the western market SUBMIT DESIGN before July 26th 2009.

Toon van Tuijl
Toon van Tuijl was a committed industrial and furniture designer from Eindhoven. Toon fell victim to an armed robbery and died on July 30th, 2006, in Kenya. For several weeks he had been working there on an assigment for a local furniture producer. The Toon van Tuijl Design award is a joint initiative of Toon van Tuijl's wife Cynthia, NCDO and Dutch Design in Development. NCDO’s Business in Development Programme finances this project.
