The Business
This will be a company that will deal with provision of IT related services and selling of IT products. It is expected to start operating to the Dar es Salaam people then will keep on expanding to other Tanzania regions as time passes. The targeted category being offices and students hence will start serving different companies(Private and Governmental), schools, hospitals and interested individuals located in Dar es Salaam.
To begin with an approximate of 5 workers are needed. The company will need a labour with a mixture of skills like different computer skills(programming, web designing, graphic designing, database developing etc), sales/marketing and office administration. In order to minimise initial overhead costs, recruitment will focus on thise with competence in more than area such as computer skills and sales.
The charges for each product or service will be established after careful study of the marekt situation and the competition. This company will provide all computer related services which include:
· Website designing and hosting
· Database design & administration
· Software development
· Graphic designing
· System analysis
· LAN and Wan configuration
· Graphic design and Printing services
· A computer school will be considered in future.
Also it is expected to sell:

· Computer accessories
· Printers

The raw materials needed to start this business are:

These some of these raw materials can be obtained from the local industries here in Tanzania and some will be imported. An idea of being a dealer of the producing companies is what seems to be the best option, this is in order to get the genuine goods.

Consistency in meeting customer expectations on quality and delivery time are other things that I will take adhere to strictly. Exclusivity and confidentiality are important consideration as many customers want to ensire that we have integrity and confidentiality in handling their information. we shall ensure our staff use good business language and up-to-date services and technology. These are factors that I will use to attract potential customers and to win over my competitors.
The high quality of my products will come from the fact that they will be bought from sources which guarantee quality and reasonable prices.
The services offered will be given by very well trained and experienced staff to ensure they are competitive.
I intend to reach my customers through different promotional tools like brochures, posters, flyers and radio adverts. The brochures, posters and flyers will be delivered to places where there is a gathering of people like airports, hotels, schools, restaurants, supermarkets, boutiques and even in different offices. Plus the radio advert will target mostly the news times, when most people are listening.
The uniqueness of my product will be in the very high quality and a reasonable price.
Plus my services will be given in a way that pleases my customers, that is I will try my best to meet my customers needs
The Entrepreneur & Management
I am a graduate of NCC International Diploma in Computer Studies currently doing NCC International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies, with over 7 years experience of different computer applications.
Even with the capital restriction I still managed to start doing a little business from my house, though with a limited scope. I have been doing computer maintanance for different companies, designing and printing of different promotional materials like brochures, flyers and posters. Lack of capital is what has hindered me to explore more in this business field.
My success in this business field is my potential customers who have trust in me and the income that have enabled me to continue with the business.
Failures have always been caused by things that I couldn't do due to lack of capital. These have helped me learn how to develop new ideas, which will add my income.
Development
The company will produce a lot of employment to the citizens which will help them in generating their income. The knowledge given in the company’s section of school will enable the graduates to be employed even allow them to be self employed.
All the above stated factors caused by the company help the people generate income. The income generated help them in improving their living standards, to them that are directly attached to the company and to their families and those that are associated with them.
The use of up-to-date technology will help the workers in improving their knowledge since they will be undergoing several trainings, added to this is the experience that they will get from the new obstacles they will face in their day to day activities. The students will also benefit since they will be taught with people who are practicing what they are teaching, and the students will also get a chance to more practical work. All these make these people very competent in the outside market.
In the long run we will have improved so many lives directly or indirectly through the people who will have direct connection with the company.
