MOBILE e-LITERACY EDUCATION & TRAINING TO RURAL MASS IN ANDHRA PRADESH. INDIA.

DHARANI INTERNATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING CENTRE (DISTC) a unit of Panchavati Rural Development Society (PRDS) has decided to promote as an activity for profit for SELF SUSTENANCE. The DISTC project is implemented under the banner of PRDS for the last 3 years and educated 500 children as highly subsidarised fees structure.IN EVERY SUMMER VACATIONS.

The main OBJECTIVE of the Dharani International Skills Training Centre (DISTC) is to establish an International standard e-literacy schools, Skills Training Centres in Rural Villages & Sub-Urban areas, and to provide e-literacy Mobile Computer Education for all children & Women at their door step. Initially planned to work in Rangareddy District in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

DISTC goal is to transform the Hi-tech City level Computer Education & Knowledge and skills to all Rural Children & Women (including not going school and drop out children and illeterate Self Help Groups (SGH) at their door step, and achieve the 100% literacy rate through e-lliteracy education in Andhra Pradesh.India.

DISTC would also empower the Rural Children , Youth & Women to become a literate through e-literacy education and provide an opportunity to enhance their skills at their door step, and to identify the inherent skills & indigenous knowledge of children (even 5-10 years also) and women. To provide various personality development & communication skills, community leadership courses at their door step.IT GIVES THEM TO SAVE THEIR ENERGY, TIME IN TRANSPORTATION AND REDUCE THE COST OF EDUCATION.

There are no competitors in our mandal it is a first of its kind Mobile
e-literacy education for all at their door step in Rangareddy District in Andhra Pradesh under the information communication & technology (ICT). The DISTC & PRDS (Society) have a network to impart environment education in schools project on regular basis as well as implementing Micro-Credit Activity for Rural Women.
Since the PRDS society got a permission from Zilla Parishad, Rangareddy District vide Lr. No B3/3824/2006, dt.13-12-2006 through District Collector of Rangareddy district to conduct Awareness campaigns and e-literacy skills education at village and mandal level covering the entire 33 mandals in Rangareddy district. Shankerpally is one of the Mandal only.
Each mandal consists of an avarage of 25 villages and 10 hamlets is a lot of potential to serve the community.

Initially the DISTC team members would visit each village and organize awareness campaigns by taking help of local surpanches and village secretaries and school heads. In these awareness campaigns we will identify the potential students and select village wise and import e-literacy education at their door step and Mandal Head quarter.

The strength of the services is to support the inherent skills identification and provide the basic information and awareness on time, at low cost and reliable. We apply the method Participatory Information Appraisal(PIA) and will work with honest and dedication and commitment to provide an International standard quality educational services.

Initially the pilot project will be implemented in Shankerpally Village & Mandal in Rangareddy District. The Mandal covers 25 villages.

The project aim is to transform into a 100 percent e-literacy among the society in a few years time.DISTC will create the content and methodologies relevent to local context educate the students and youth through community mechanism. Open up the vision of students and youth towards the outer world and create seeds of the organization through collective learnings.

The prds Society is implementing various programs INCLUDEING DISTC PROJECT and have rich experience and the details are as follows:

1) Runing a FREE EDUCATION under the banner of PANCHAVATI ENVIRONMENT SCHOOL - PES (EVENING) for urban slum children covering 100 children on Non-formal Education pattern in order to promote EDUCATION FOR ALL.

2) Organizing ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION in school for children and Teachers, Women under the banner of "DHARANI GREEN KIIDS LEAGUE CLUBS" to promote Environment Education at Initial stage TO BRING AN ATTITUDINAL CHANGES TO PROTECT AND CONSERVE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES and emphasizing the Waste Management and Water Resource Management.

3) Working and promoting the activity MICRO CREDIT ASSISTANCE programme under the banner of "DHARANI MAHILA CREDIT CO-OPERATIVE SANGHAM" - A Commitment to Women Empowerment - Women's Developement Bank (formerly Panchavati Credit Co-operative Sangham) through Thrift and credit , self Help and income generating , and health education exclusively for Women for self reliant.

4) VOCATIONAL TRAINING & COMPUTER EDUCATION for women, youth and children to develop their inherent SKILLS under the banner of "DHARANI INTERNATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING CENTRE (DISTC)".

Now a days, every one is looking for, to have, earning sources out of their work / service. It is our effort to support the community under privileged target group living in Rural areas. The techincal expertise knowledge and ICT is not reached the rural people. The REACHING OF I.T. WISDOM IS FAR DREAM OF RURAL CHILDREN OR ADOLESCENT GIRLS OR YOUTH AND PARTICULARLY TO ILLITERATE MEN AND WOMEN. The project is targeted to extend the e-Literacy Education & Training on Mobile to Rural Children & Women as well as to identify the inherent Skills of students and provide the services at Low Cost and Quality Services.

The project strategy places strong emphasis on the self-employment Self management, financial independence and sustainability over a period of time through Education & Training concepts.

The DISTC centre also render the services to the Community include e-mail and Internet access so as to link the communitites with other communitites and open avenues for development, such as e-learning, e-commerce and other information which is available online. It is also impact and promote the information management, Resource sharing, Information use and servicing among the members, Capacity Building and access an efficient Information at their door step.

It is an access to Rural Teachers in Primary and secondary schools and enable them to access many online resources such as distance education, video conference and can view the web sites. It improves the efficiency of communication and improve the capacity building of teachers and they will be learn computer skills inturn they can teach to their students.
