BiD Seminar: Meso Finance - the challenge of financing small businesses in developing countries

Small businesses in developing countries have trouble finding finance and support. Yet they are the largest group of companies in any developing country - the backbone of the economy. This financing gap between micro-finance and large commercial finance is called the 'missing middle'.

During this seminar we will tackle this issue and discuss simple, profitable and lasting solutions for successful implementation of 'meso finance'.

YOUR expertise is needed!

Participants will be selected based on experience.

Unfortunately it is no longer possible to register for this event.

Central theme

In what way can finance and support of small businesses in developing countries be developed and implemented in feasible, sustainable and profitable ways?

Central questions of the seminar are:

  • Can small businesses be financed profitably?
  • Which financing models work, which don't?
  • How can working models be scaled up?
  • What can your organisation do? With whom would you partner?

This BiD Seminar is organised by NCDO in collaboration with the d.o.b foundation and Fair Ventures.
