World Water Council
The World Water Council (WWC) is an international multi-stakeholder platform, established in 1996 on the initiative of renowned water specialists and international organizations, in response to an increasing concern of the international community about global water issues.
The Council's main goal is to facilitate the efficient conservation, protection, development, management and use of water in all its dimensions on an environmentally sustainable basis by raising awareness and increasing commitments from politicians and decision-makers at all levels toward critical water issues.
By providing a platform for debates and exchange of experiences, the Council aims at reaching a common strategic vision on water resources and water services management among all stakeholders of the water community. In order to do so, the Council catalyses initiatives and think-tank activities mainly converging toward its flagship product the World Water Forum.
