Business start-up

clever coffin for everybody special

EveryBody Special is a coffin that is cheap, globally usefull and easy transportable due to small flatpack size and light weight. It can be transported in big quantities in disaster or epidemic areas but can also function as a commodity product for market trade. The coffin can be locally produced and distributed by individuals. Assembling does not require tools, nails or glue. Ecofriendly material makes ecological burial possible. Being a commodity article makes it possible for anyone to start reselling it, this way creating personal economic added value.

The Business

What is your product/service?

I am looking for local distribution and production partners. They will be licensed to produce the product according to my specifications. Profit wil be generated by adding margin to the basic product costprice. Up market resellers can add up their margins to make a profit.
My customers are distributors and resellers that will sell to small businesses and maybe end users.
They will buy my product because there are no more means for expensive coffins or because there are no coffins at all. In some areas wood for coffins will not be available atall.

Explain how you will sell your product/service (marketing strategy) and how you will reach your customers (distribution strategy)?

The undertaker market is a monopolist market. It is very hard to get in especially with a product that will be cannibalising for their current product. Even so the margin of this product might be lower. The market is forcefully dominated by few players. Penetrating this market needs creativity and nerve. My product has a better price and as a commodity product it can have an added value for economic empowerment. Start up funding is available ones a launching customer has comissioned himself to the project.

Development

How does your business improve the local living standards (social and environmental)?

Production of the coffin will generate employment in short term for 15 people every 50 km2 in epidemic areas. This being production workers and sales people. Long term impact can be diversifiaction of product in factories ending in small industries with more employment more cash-flow and rising economy.
