Business Environment Strengthening for Tanzania

The BEST Programme seeks to reduce poverty through enhancing the growth and development of businesses in Tanzania, particularly micro, small and medium sized enterprises in which the majority of the poor are engaged.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

• To reduce the burden on businesses by eradicating as many procedural and administrative barriers as possible;
• To improve the quality of services provided by Government to the private sector; and
• To enhance the capacity of the Private sector to advocate for a better business environment while strengthening Public-Private Partnership.
