Below, the generic partner roles are described. After a meeting, a more detailed and tailor-made proposal can be made.

Four main types of partnership:

PLATINUM - Main Partner

Has strategic interest in supporting a business approach to conservation and sustainable use of Natural Resources

Main Partners offer:
  • A financial contribution of Ksh.2.5 million, Ksh 1.5 million as seed capital and Ksh 1million for operational costs
  • Capacity to promote the Nature Challenge
  • One candidate for the investment committee
Main Partners receive:
  • Full corporate exposure on website, promotion material, press and National Award event
  • Creation of a specific award in the partner’s area of interest

Gold - Award partner

Award partners commit financial ‘incentives’ to entrepreneurs

Partner offers:
  • Financial award of at least Ksh.1 million-for a specific sector
  • Capacity to appropriately promote the Nature Challenge internally and externally
  • Provide experts for jury & coaching
Partner receives:
  • Exposure related to the SME Forum & National award event
  • Logo included in the invitation and on website,
  • Short speech by the partner during the event
  • One stand for the partner at the event
  • Media exposure: Media package including a brochure from the partner
  • Media houses covering the event in articles or through interviews

SILVER - Business and Investment Partner:

Is interested to investin-or partner with nature based businesses

Partner offers:
  • Financial support of at least Ksh.750,000
  • Promotion and investment/business
  • Engage experts for coaching & Jury
Partner receives:
  • Exposure on website and during the National SME forum and Award Event
  • Instruction sessions for recruited screeners and coaches
  • Access to specific business plans

BRONZE - Supporting Partner:

Provides in-kind support(TA, assessors, coaches, promotion, market access, a place to host the event, plane tickets ,etc)

Partner offers:

In kind and/or cash support

Partner receives:
  • Exposure to target audience
  • Recognition at the SME forum & award event
  • Instruction sessions for recruited screeners and coaches
