GROWING SMEs: IT’S TIME TO INVEST!

“Growing SMEs: It’s time to invest!” which takes place in The Hague June 2, 2010 is an Investment Market Place offering a unique opportunity to 50+ entrepreneurs from developing countries to meet and pitch their business plans to 100+ investors interested in financing companies in emerging markets.

The objectives of “Growing SMEs: It’s time to invest!” Market Place are to match entrepreneurs and financers, mobilize capital, and showcase an emerging asset class for investors. “Growing SMEs; It’s time to invest!”, is expected to bring together more than 600 attendants, among which specialists and practitioners active in the SME Finance sector, as well as 50+ entrepreneurs and 100+ investors.

Among the activities scheduled for the day are:

• Presence of HRH Princess Máxima, who after a brief speech will meet with investors and visit entrepreneurs at the Market Place
• Lectures by Steven Koltai, Designer of the Global Entrepreneurship Program of the US State Department and John Wasielewski, Director of Development Credit of USAID
• 3 minutes business pitches by SMEs and Service Providers
• Award Ceremonies for the world’s best SME entrepreneurs

The entrepreneurs invited to the conference will participate in business trainings and one on one meetings with potential investors, clients and business partners. These are organised in the days before and during the conference.
