EU's Fischler Says WTO Accord Possible by End of This Month
July 20 (Bloomberg) -- A World Trade Organization agreement on cutting tariffs and farm subsidies is possible by the end of this month, European Commissioner for Agriculture Franz Fischler said after discussing a draft proposal. ``It's full steam ahead for an agreement by the end of July,' Fischler said in Brussels last night, after he and Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy discussed a WTO draft with their counterparts from the U.S., Brazil, Australia and India.
