WindAid - The Power of Progress
WindAid is a Peruvian based manufacturer of wind generator systems delivering from 500W to 25,000W (25kw) of electricity.
WindAid aero generators save money and reduce fuel consumption by replacing fossil fuel generators, which now have annual import revenues of over $250 million in South America, installed in areas where the electrical grid is unavailable or unreliable. In the majority of coastal and mountain regions of Peru consistent wind resources are available to power a wind generator, either eliminating or drastically reducing the unending fuel consumption.

The Business
The WindAid products are wind generator systems designed for off grid installation in coastal and mountain areas. Our unique wind generator utilizes patentable technology in the blade design and generator. The result is an extremely reliable highly efficient wind generator to replace traditional fossile fuel generators and their endless fuel consumption. Made in Peru, using local resources and labor, our sale price is half of competing imports.
The Peruvian economy has grown faster than infrastructure, leaving many businesses and individuals on land with out connection to the electric grid. WindAid provides an affordable reliable energy solution.
WindAid has constructed and installed several beta units. The product is made by constructing carbon fiber blades, composit resin armatures and stators, mounted on a steel frame. These units are made using molds that we have created. By early 2010 our manufacturing costs will drop significantly as we implement modern manufacturing equipment and processes. In 2010 we will expand our manufacturing to include two larger models with our 2000XF.
Every installed wind generator, on a 9m tower, has our logo and website on the one meter tail.
We will enter the market through strategic installations in the industries we plan to penetrate.
We will also partner with Enerjet (or a competitor) with our display models displayed in their battery distributors with supporting marketing materials. WindAid energy system battery banks of 2 to 24 batteries add to the sales of our strategic partner.
Industries with remote operations:
- Poultry/Chicken Industry - Always Remotely located Evening lighting keeps the chickens eating, increasing output)
- Marine Industry, such as scallop farms, are remotely located in high wind coastal areas
- Mining Industry remote locations in high wind mountain areas (ie. Cajamarca)
- Rural Electrication Initiatives
- Private households (over 20,000 use fossil fuel generators)
Plus other selected industries.
No wind generators are commercially manufactured in Peru:

• Patentable design for blade and dynamo
• Insight into the dynamics of the market
• Using local labor and local materials when available
• Price point far below competitors with a robust product.
Our innovative system design is expandable to produce up to 25,000 watts (50,000 peak) by allowing multiple generators, batteries, and inverters to sychronize and work in unity to provide a single output. Traditional designs would require replacement of the electronics each time the client wanted more peak power.
Other Innovative Features:
Cogless brushless maintenance free dynamo with composite magnetic core.
Steel cored Carbon fiber blades.
WindAid is focused on building a team of hard working talented individuals to keep the business focused on our most productive and profitable industries. Being the first to market with patentable improvements with give us a hand up on competition. By maintaining our philosophy of high quality durable products, our reputation will help us win new clients. The pride new owners feel contributes to word of mouth will help fuel our growth.

This is a full time business. It seems during start-up, every waking hour is in some way related to the business, other than important family time and recreational breaks. 60+ hours of dedicated time per week.
Development
WindAid energy systems reduce pollution significantly. Eliminating one fossil fuel generator that operates 12 hours a day can save 22,000kg of Carbon, and provide an annual savings of $6,450 a year. This results also in more cash flow for the client to grow, and therefor more jobs.
One of the first WindAid wind generators was installed for a remote rural school in Paranshique, Perú (alt: 3400m) to providing energy for computers, A/V equipment
