How to Submit your Business Plan?
- Check if you are eligible to participate by reading the participation criteria below
- Become a member of the BiD Network. Register here
- Create a profile in the BiD Network. Log in
- Fill in and submit an online application form
- Submit a complete business plan. Make sure to use the full business plan templates at the bottom of this page.
If you already have a complete business plan you can attach it to your application directly. For a more detailed instruction click on the grey box 'How to present your plan' on the right.
Make sure to submit your complete business plan before the competition deadline. The deadline was extended to the 30 December 2009.
If you want the support of a coach in writing the full business plan please make sure to submit your application before the 1st of September.
Participation criteria
- Your plan should comply with the general participation criteria.
- You must be a cooperative or farmers association. Please fill its name in the plan application under "Company". When you submit a complete business plan, please use the templates at the bottom of this page.
- Your business must be in the agriculture or food processing sector. In order to be considered for this competition, please do not forget to select one of the following sectors in the online application form:
- Agriculture - General
- Agriculture - Food Processing
- Agriculture - Farm inputs, supplies and services
- Agriculture - Non-food
- Your country of business must be on the DAC list.
- For this competition, business plans are accepted in English, Spanish and French.
What happens after you submit your plan?
- Your plan will enter the assessment process. You will receive extensive feedback in each stage.
- In January 2010, the finalists will be selected. 5 entrepreneurs will be invited for a business trip to the Netherlands. These 5 entrepreneurs will also win a gold membership to efresh.com, thereby gaining access to a global market of agricultural products and several trading, marketing and statistical tools.
- Whether or not you become a finalist, all high quality business plans are eligible for the BiD Network Investor Matchmaking Services. However, please take into consideration that if you want to apply for these services, you will need to translate your plan into English before submission for stage 3 of the assessment process.
