Microfinance Outreach Plan

To address the financial constraints of the rural poor, the Micro-Finance Outreach Plan was designed to spread sustainable micro-finance services to all areas of Uganda and to co-ordinate efforts to ensure that professional Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) cover the country within the next 3 years. Under the Plan, the Matching Grant Facility for Capacity Building (MCAP) was set up to increase rural financial services outreach, suitable product development for rural financial services and institutional capacity building for the services.
