Our Company main business is reselling pet bottles (19 litres), refill drinking water and recycling plastics (bottle caps).

Water refill (depot) has been a very attractive and fast growing business in Eastern Indonesia. To run this business, pet bottles (19 litres) and bottle caps are needed.
pet gallon bottles are necessary because there are no companies in the eastern indonesian that produce. we believe can be successfully established with the first factory for pet bottles in Makassar and so can serve all the needs of pet bottles in Celebes, Moluccas and Papua.

The Business

What is your product/service?

The key business of my company is water refill (in Indonesia, this business is called Depot), supplying water treatment and spare parts, building new water refill, producing bottle caps (with recycled plastic) and reselling pet bottles (gallons of 19 litres).We’re the only company who recycling plastic bottle caps in eastern Indonesia, so our customers, mainly from eastern Indonesia, definitely would buy our products.

What customer need/problem do your products/services satisfy?

people need clean drinking water.
water refill (depot) to provide and sell drinking water to the people of the rechargeable.
business drinking water refill (depot) need pet bottles (19 litres) and bottle caps.

How will you make the product/service?

Our product now is selling water treatment and water refilling supply, mostly pet bottles (19 litres) and bottle caps. We’re the only company who recycling plastic bottle caps in eastern Indonesia. As soon as we produce our own pet bottles (19 litres), we will offer to our customers a cheaper price than suppliers in Surabaya or Jakarta, we offer sufficient stock and delivery on time.

Explain how you will sell your product/service (marketing strategy) and how you will reach your customers (distribution strategy)?

Right now, sales and distribution, aided by 9 agents in each region : 6 in South Celebes, 1 in Moluccas, and 2 in Papua. If a customers order some of our products we sent it first to our agent, then our agent will delivered it directly to the customers. But sometimes our customers come from some place that so far away from our agents, so we use courier service to delivered it.

To whom are you selling, what is your market?

Our primary target is wholesale market: supply for the business water refill companies (depot) and for agents (big shop) in Eastern Indonesia. Our wholesale customers are well known companies and agents in their region. Our market size is very large, it consist the entire region in eastern Indonesia. Right now we have more than 3500 customers (mostly water refilling depot) in Celebes, Moluccas, and Papua.

Describe your competitors?

Until now in Eastern Indonesia (Celebes, Malukku, Papua), we don’t have a main competitor. Our company still the only one who recycling bottle caps and will be the first one who produce pet bottles (19litres) if we have the machine, our competitor maybe come from other Island like Java, because they have more sophisticated machine and more knowledge in this business, but can not provide Eastern Indonesia with sufficient pet bottles.

What makes your business different/better than your competitors (competitive advantage)?

We will become the first company that produces 19 litres PET bottles in Eastern Indonesia. Our customers will profit from the following advantages : sufficient stock, cheaper costs, reliable delivery on time.

What makes your business, your product or service innovative?

we produce is recycling product, so our customers can bring their caps plastic waste and we can recycled it for them. if we have a factory-gallon bottles, we are the first in the eastern indonesian and we have many customers in the Celebes, moluccas, and Papua.

How will you ensure the growth of your business?

Our market size is very large, it consist the entire region in eastern Indonesia, but we still can expand to central region such as Borneo, Timor, or Bali. Right now we have more than 3500 customers (mostly water refilling depot) in Celebes, Moluccas, and Papua, and every year our customers increased their orders twice from their last year order. Until now we don’t have a main competitor. our competitor maybe come from other Island like Java.

My Name is Bobby Chandra, I have a bachelor degree in Economics study. i am owner of UD. AIR FRESH. now I see an opportunity to build a new factory that produce PET bottle in eastern Indonenesia. Recently, me and one of my employee have received a training in Constar International a plastic company in the Netherlands under the guidance of PUM expert, Mr. Jaap Snellenburg.
Our company hired 13 employees right now.

What specifically makes you and (if relevant) your management team most qualified to build this business?

The team of our management had a technical background and economics.We don’t obligate our employee, especially the labour, to have adequate school or skills, because operating the machine is so simple. What we need is diligent, dedicated and hard working employee.Right now we have a technical partner from PUM, Mr. Jaap Snellenburg. He will give any knowledge that we need in plastic industry because all his work life he spend in plastic industry

How much time do/will you expect to spend per week in the business?

for this business, the company worked for 6 days each week.
we work for 10 hours each day. Occasionally if many orders from the customers, then we worked overtime to increase the production.

Development

How does your business improve the local living standards (social and environmental)?

Our company hired 13 employees right now ( including women's labour ).
Our company helps government program to reduce unemployment.
Because our recycled bottle caps, we can reduce the number of plastics waste in our area ( government programs - Sulsel go green ).
With our product, people can supply drinkable water in their house.
Customers get a bottle caps and pet bottle gallon 19 litres with low prices and stock available.
