Registration starts at 12:00. Please be on time! The Minister for Development Cooperation, Bert Koenders, will open the event at 13:00.

    Main Partners of the BiD Network

Invest your time wisely and come and meet entrepreneurs, experts, investors and potential partners at the BiD Network International Marketplace!

Winners of the different national BiD Challenges will be among the featured entrepreneurs, as well as other entrepreneurs from around the world ready for matchmaking.

The Marketplace

The Marketplace is an interactive networking event for entrepreneurs, private investors and funds, multinationals, funders, NGOs and other entities actively involved in Business and Development. High potential BiD Network entrepreneurs will present their business plans and you will have the opportunity to meet them. KLM has sponsored four airline tickets for the entrepeneurs coming to the event. For an updated list of the entrepreneurs attending the Market Place go to SMEs @ Marketplace and BiD Week 2009.

Networking and Information

At the event an interactive matchmaking service and the Rabobank Rapid Business Date session will assist you in finding the people you want to talk to. Next to high potential entrepreneurs from around the world you can meet experts on business and development, investors and potential business partners. Two information sessions will get you up to date on the latest developments in 'the Business Case for Nature Conservation' and 'Emerging Markets in Emerging Markets'.

Award Ceremony

The award ceremony consists of various live interviews with investors and coaches, and the BiD Network jury will award the following:

  • 3 BiD Network Prizes (40.000 euros in total) will be awarded by the BiD Network Jury including Coert Beerman (CEO Rabobank Rotterdam)
  • 1 PUM Prize of 10.000 euros and 10.000 euros in technical assistance for the plan that creates the most jobs
  • BiD Nature Prizes, the WNF prize for the sustainable use of natural resources and biodiversity

Location

The Creative Factory is an old grain silo that has been converted into an dance club, event location and business incubator for young creative entrepreneurs.
