What is your product/service?

In my business I design and embroidering BATIKIs, overalls, overcoats, industrial workers and students’ uniforms, ordinary ladies and gents wear. I make sure that the product produced goes in line with the current fashions to meet the needs and demand of my customers. In most cases the fashion of ladies and gents wears are changing so I make sure I produce the products which can be bought and increase the purchasing power to my customers

What customer need/problem do your products/services satisfy?

It satisfies different categories of needs such as industrial workers working clothes, student school uniforms, women and men who find their tastes in smart african clothes example Batikis,

How will you make the product/service?

Since I have an existing small factory dealing with design and emboirdering of different clothes, I would increase the factory size, buy more of modern emboirdering and overlock machines, employ new expert staffs to ensure effective and efficient production of products

Explain how you will sell your product/service (marketing strategy) and how you will reach your customers (distribution strategy)?

Renting a Show room in a nice located place,meeting the already known and established business people dealing with buying and selling the type of products produced, visiting different schools, industries to find reliable markets for the products, proper use of media like radio to advertise the business, setting distinguished affordable prices to increase turnover. International trade fairs,show room,exportation will be the distribution strategies

To whom are you selling, what is your market?

Will sell to the middlemen buying in large quantity and also direct to local and foreign customers. These can be government institutions, private firms, sole proprietors, individuals, Non Governmental Organisations (NGO's)

Describe your competitors?

In my bussness i am facing a lot of competitors. My competitors are those who are producing the same kind of products i do.Some of them are coming from outside the country and other are within the country.Example of competitors who are coming from outside most of them coming from malawi uganda and kenya. We sometimes find that we share the market so everyone use the marketing strategies and skills to be in the position of wining more customers.

What makes your business different/better than your competitors (competitive advantage)?

My business is much better compare to my competitors because i am producing the products of high quality with the price which is affordable to the majority. i make lots of advertisements via mass media like Tv.

What makes your business, your product or service innovative?

My busines products are been innovated by the output of qualified and experienced worker,also the newly improved machinery with the applied technologies.The quality of the materials used in my business also counter for the innovative products.
Good manegerial and high devoted working spirt by the employees brings foward high standard and innovative products.
Market competation of high qualited goods contribute to the Fine produced products.

How will you ensure the growth of your business?

To ensure the growth of my business, I will consider the following:- Customer base expansion, Add value, Part of profit to be returned to boost capital, Participating in trade fairs exhibitions, To keep my accounts properly and make sure that the materials used are the one which are only needed . I will park my products in a way that will impress my customers to come back. I will also make sure that I provide after sale services to my customers.

I will be the owner of the company managing all activities in collaboration with my management team.I have 15 years of experience in the tailoring industry.Am qualified with Form iv certificate,I have attended Secretarila Course and a lots of business manegarial seminars.I have well trained and experienced designer whom together we do assist each other in designing.Also I have well trained 4 embroiders, 4 trained tailors and 2 general workers.

What specifically makes you and (if relevant) your management team most qualified to build this business?

I and my management team we are qualified to build this business specifically because we have the ability to work independently,flexibly and as part of team,strong organisational and planning skills to priotise,manage a busy workload and meet deadlines,ensuring business plans are reached within the appropiate time.Conducting on job trainings to our staffs to increase the performance of their work.Make analysis to the costomers needs and demands.

How much time do/will you expect to spend per week in the business?

In my business plan i expect to work on the average of sixtyhours(60hours) per week.I will work from monday to saturday,whichmeans i will be working in six days(6days) spending ten hours(10hours) for each day.

How does your business improve the local living standards (social and environmental)?

My business contribute to the improvement of local living standard because i am paying tax to the government which facilitate the government in the provision of goods and service to the public example building school,hospitals and infrastructure.Also i sell my products in reasonable price which majority of developing countries can easily afford.Through the income earned i am applying the compassion role like help the orphans to pay school fees
