AfriMarkets is a Marketing platform developed by Destiny Africa, an NGO in Kenya to assist Community Based Organisations (CBO) at the grassroots develop their products and market them. In Kenya, marketing is the main bottleneck for small entrepreneurs and CBOs yet the market even local remains unexploited.
Currently has groups with products such as Neem (Mwarubaini) such as medicinal soap and anti-malarials etc, handicrafts, and agricultural produce like groundnuts and cashewnuts that can be packaged and marketed locally. This would help raise incomes for the farmers, avoid after-harvest losses, improve livelihoods for the CBOs through value-addition and marketing.
Destiny Africa is looking for partners to support access seed capital, roasting machines, packaging machines and assist in training in marketing.
EXPANSION OF MICROFINANCE SERVICES IN IMO STATE, NIGERIA.
IMO SELF HELP ORGANIZATION(ISHO) AN NGO, CAME INTO BEING AS THE OUTCOME OF AN ACADEMIC EXERCISE DURING ONE OF THE WORKSHOPS ATTENDED BY THE THEN COORDINATOR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN IN 1987.
THE EXERCISE WAS IN POVERTY ALLEVIATION AND SUSTAINABILITY OF THE RURAL AREAS IN THE SCHEME OF THINGS AND MAKING WAY FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL/COLLECTIVE EFFORT AT REDUCING THE DEPENDEENCE ON GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE.
THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO IMPROVE THE LIVING CONDITION OF THE ENTERPRENEUR POOR ESPECIALLY WOMEN BY PROVIDING MICROCREDIT FACILITIES TO THEM. THE PARTICULAR OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TOEXPAND OUR OPERATION TO REACH MORE WOMEN IN IMO STATE AND SUBURBS WITH MICROCREDIT FACILITIES USING ASA METHODOLOGY.

CLEAN ELECTRICITY TO THE MARGINALISE AREAS AT HALF KPLC RATE
Hi! Am James Orery,Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and I participated in the 2007 BID Challenge with a proposal on the above topic. Its about an Appropriate Technology that will take(generate) Electricity to the rural and arid areas in Kenya and any where in the world to support the cottage Agribusiness industries, rural market centres, Rice and wheat mills, homes among others.It will help save trees cut for cooking and green house gas emissions by cutting down Kerosine and diesel used in rural, reduce use of woodfuel and logs cut by KPLC for power distribution (Electricity poles).It will deliver electricity at half the rates charged by Kenya Power and Lightling Company (KPLC)
It will also be used by companies such as Cement and Beer companies whose nature of operation do not allow them to produce power from boilers and this will reduce their production costs significantly due to reduced energy costs hence high profitability.
lt will also be able to stand as an Independent power producer project to KPLC that do not rely on diesel for electricity generation as done the existing ones.It be partnered with existing International Independent power providing companies such as Aggreko International.

Oil Palm Project in West Africa
In 2007 we received an exclusive mandate from a chiefdom in West Africa to rehabilitate and develop a 40,000 hectares oil palm wild grove into a profitable Oil Palm Plantation. Based on own investigation with industry professionals, and a provisional agricultural survey, we have developed a Business Plan with financial figures and are very confident of its feasibility. To transform the paper plan into sustainable realty requires a multimillion investment.
