What happened with the progress of this Forum

Just asking, is this forum still active? It seems the last time anybody wrote on this page was way back in october 2007. I think this forum would be productive if we had more people contributing towards it.
I would also suggest that we have more feedback from folks who have already benefited from BiDnetwork as this would act as a motivation for us who are looking for funding. According to the literature on the website it shows that at least every year entrepreneurs get funding but there is nothing showing the progress of such funding.
I think having progress and results of such funding would motivate entrepreneur who have applied and waiting responses on their business plans.

renewable energy

we are hosting 25 16-18 year olds starting july 6 for 5 days at our intentional community/organic farm (vlierhof.org). Plans have fallen thru and I need help to have something ready for them to create and finish in that time. I am interested in making vertical axis wind turbines or solar panels (photovoltaics) or something that we can actually use to make us more self-reliant. Can anyone help please? Later this year, we wish to work on making this place a model for others in the area for self-sustainability, focusing now on renewable energy. We are a non-profit. We are also becoming a healing place for people with "personality disorders", highly sensitive people who had invalidating childhoods. Bypassing the invalidating/validating of the ego and going directly to nullification of ego (as far as possible) and identifying with nothing. Hope to get a response soon.
Warmly,
Mofwoofoo

Equity Forum - the place for "window shopping"

I attended the equity forum at AIM on Oct. 16, 2008 and was amused by its proceedings. We presented our plans to the equity investors (fssi, peace and equity foundation and oiko credit) and were asked few questions after. It's like a beauty contest but no prize is at stake. The equity investors present, proved to be very strong and committed to deliver equity financing but somehow they are more for Luzon and Visayas not Mindanao. Coming to Manila for the event was like 'window shopping" at lucrative malls in the city. You see all the stuff you need/want but you can't buy it, unless you go back to your village, dig your field, find gold, go back to the "mall" and buy the stuff, if it is still available. The point is, most investible funds are available in Luzon and Visayas, so innovators/inventors from Luzon and Visayas should take advantage of it and hopefully pbsp will entice Luzon thinkers/scientists to do more to create wealth. As for Mindanao innovators, we'll just have to accept that we're "outside the kulambo" or medyo "malayo pa sa kusina" but still capable of making things happen sometime in the future. Meantime, we'll just be contented as "window shoppers". I would like to suggest, if possible, that PBSP or bidnetwork will promote or build equity investors in Mindanao-possibly pooling funds from business groups or business chambers in Mindanao as seed capital for equity financing for Mindanao innovators if qualified.

More Power to BidNetwork and PBSP.

sourcing virgin oil - any amounts

I'm just very interested to know if indeed Mr. Vishul Gohil of U.K. really needs "virgin oil - any amounts" for his biodiesel production. I emailed him twice but no response, of course, I respect his privacy. However, if our network could have a chance to contact him, please tell him, we in Davao Provinces, Mindanao, Philippines are more than willing to serve his demand on Virgin "Coconut" Oil at the right volume and reasonable prices on a long term basis.

I am looking for "marketers" of coconut based oil that are use as:

Interesting Feedback

I received a wonderful comment from the assessment team regarding my entry proposal. "We are sure there are other funding windows for these type of project." "Your plan is no longer visible for other members of this site, it is visible only to yourself."

How can others view when the door is already closed? What's the use of having it in the site when it is already invisible? This is not the essence I thought the BiD is trying to promote. Or is it?

polyethelyne, cellephane "market plastic" bag

This is perenial sight in landfills & dumps. Any information on how to reuse and recycle this items is badly needed. We can make it to zero waste in landfills when we find usefullness of this product. We are buying the above just to alleviate income and in anticipation of future market.

We submitted a plan proposal for the picnic green challenge as an invitation was posted in our site. Receiving feedbacks and comments is a very nice form incentive to acknowledge our efforts.

Hope the Picnic Network organizers find time to post our plan proposals to the BidNetwork.

Just love to see our work in the net. Comments and feedbacks are very rewarding.

Funding for SME's

I am an enterpreneur, and my plan Beekeeping and tree planting for environment, employment and development aims at creating employment for rural people, earn incomes for the bee keepers and contribute to environmental conservation in an all round environment and business setup. My plan is very rucritive and could have a great financial turnover over a short period. I have started by establishing tree nurseries and bee hives. I am also starting to process and package honey for sale locally and internationally. I have initial capital, though to support the business in a small scale.

I am looking for some partner, supporter out there who may be interested in partnering in this business. I am also interested in a low interest rate loan, payable in an agreed period of time. Anyone with any information is welcome to send to me on email creek_kenya@yahoo.com.

Thanks,

Kunga Ngece
