Craftskills Affordable Wind Turbines and LED lamps

Craftskills East Africa Ltd is registered in kenya as a limited liability owned by 4 directors
Craftskills Enterprises is a Kenyan company specializing in Renewable Energy and the developer of the WindCruiser, an innovative wind power generator. The WindCruiser is manufactured using 90% locally available raw materials, and is designed to utilize low speed winds to generate power. It can also be used as a hybrid with solar/diesel generators, or connected to the main power grid. Craftskills also produces cheap LED lights with batteries for homes that cannot afford a turbine. Since its inception in 2000, Craftskills has installed over 50 wind turbines and solar hybrids, providing electricity in homes, schools, NGO offices, hotels and lodges. Recognizing the high potential of this innovation, especially in a country with a low electrification rate, the Kenyan government has partnered with Craftskills to conduct their rural electrification project. The company has promising prospects to expand its operations across Africa, and is looking to increase its capacity for mass production.
