Union Export Services Ltd. (Unex) is a coffee export organisation for affiliated cooperations in Uganda. Unex can sell a part of the coffee under Fair Trade condition to European buyers. On the basis of Fair Trade contracts Hivos-Triodos Fund has been providing prefinancing to Unex for some years already. This financing makes it possible that the growers can be paid immediately upon deliver of their coffee.
