Uganda Industrial Research Institute is Uganda Government’s lead agency for industrialization, established by an Act of Parliament of Uganda under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry (MTTI). It is the countrie's main vehicle for implementing strategies and measures aimed at transforming industry in Uganda.
The Business Development Centre at UIRI offers a suite of services aimed at spurring technology led and knowledge driven industrial enterprises – to enable them start, grow and thrive. The services offered at UIRI’s Business Development Centre inlude:

  • Business Services Unit
  • Industrial Resource Centre
  • SME Outreach (training)
