The Global Exchange for Social Investment (GEXSI) is a BiD Network Investment Partner. They earmarked at least 15.000 euros to invest in BiD Challenge plans.

GEXSI is charitable organisation registered in the U.K. (U.K Charity No. 1117884) and with offices in London and Berlin. The mission of GEXSI is to bring together charitable donors, social entrepreneurs, and social investors in funding exceptional economic, ecological, and social projects for sustainable development.

Investment Partners will only invest in participants of the BiD Challenge. So join the BiD Challenge 2007!
GEXSI channels funds from donors and social investors to support ventures amongst the world's neediest communities helping to raise living standards and sustain the environment. GEXSI goes beyond philanthropy to encourage donors and social investors alike in endeavours designed to alleviate poverty and economic adversity.

Criteria for Funding

Within the BiD Challenge, Gexsi focuses on social ventures/entrepreneurs with some proof of concept, significant potential to scale-up, and with financing needs larger than 50,000 euros. GEXSI is specifically interested in the sectors of agriculture and agroforestry (including biofuels), food-processing, energy, water & sanitation and low-cost housing.
