Collaboration with BiD Network
BiD Network and Agentschap NL (Agency NL) have been partners ever since the start of the first BiD Challenge. Agentschap NL employees have been coaching entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs were linked to the PSI and MMF programme (see below) and each other’s networks are used for a better outreach.
Focussing on sustainability, innovation, international business and cooperation, NL Agency is the number one contact point for businesses, knowledge institutions and government bodies.
Relevant programs for entrepreneurs:
- Matchmaking Facility (MMF)
Serious companies in developing countries are often on the lookout for reliable business partners abroad. MMF puts those companies in touch with Dutch businesses. The goal is to stimulate joint business relations (investment, trade, knowledge transfer) that will strengthen the private sector in developing countries and upcoming markets.
- Private Sector Investment Programme (PSI)
The Private Sector Investment programme, PSI is a subsidy programme of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Development Cooperation that supports innovative investment projects in emerging markets.
A PSI project is an investment project, implemented by a Dutch (or foreign) company together with a local company, in one of the eligible developing countries. If this investment meets the criteria, it can be eligible for a grant by PSI. This grant consists of a financial contribution to the costs of the investment.
