What to Expect?

infoDev’s Global Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a biennial flagship event convening the global innovation and entrepreneurship community to exchange know-how, establish partnerships and develop innovative approaches. infoDev is a global partnership program in the World Bank Group. Its mission is to enable innovative entrepreneurship for sustainable, inclusive growth and employment in developing countries.

Startup Labs, a global VC fund for tech startups, and Grupo Inspiro are excited to announce an Startup Labs Colombia in partnership with the Colombian government. Startup Labs gathers and empowers local investors to create the funding startups needed in order to take advantage of growth opportunities in emerging economies and also create and attract a strong deal flow. The group will be participating in a bootcamp on May 16 and listening to startups’ pitches in Bogota on May 17 to explore and collectively invest.

The Mobile Web Africa series of events is innovative and progressive in nature. The events are hosted at the very best venues; feature the leading local and international experts as presenters; incorporate finely tuned agendas; and use an interactive roundtable format that sets them apart from the traditional conference style featuring rows of seats.

The involvement of Dutch companies in development is hot topic of discussion. In recent years, substantial cuts in the development budget have been plugged by the money for business toolkits and the an increase in public-private partnerships.
