Princess Máxima at the Growing SMEs 2010

Her Royal Highness Princess Máxima of the Netherlands will officially open the Marketplace during the Growing SMEs Conference on November 15, 2012, at the World Forum of The Hague, in the Netherlands. Over 400 people will attend the Conference to explore the latest trends in developing, growing and financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in emerging markets.

Princess Máxima’s participation in the Growing SMEs Conference is linked to her role promoting best practices and policies that increase access to finance, advance consumer protection and enhance financial literacy. The Princess advocates access for both individuals and SMEs, which are often the engine of growth in local and national economies.

Appointed in 2009 by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as his Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, Princess Máxima works with government leaders, financial regulators and supervisors, intergovernmental organizations, parliaments, civil society, the private sector and the media to raise awareness and foster action.

There are different ways to participate during the leading international conference for SME practitioners. Don’t miss your chance!
