Artha Venture Challenge: Supporting High Impact Social Ventures in India

On behalf of our partner Ennovent, BiD Network would like to share with you the Artha Venture Challenge.

This national competition is designed to find the most ambitious early-stage social entrepreneurs in India and provide them access to finance, business support and powerful connections to assist in scaling their enterprises.

Indian enterprises operating in the sectors of Agriculture, Energy (clean cookstoves and others), Water, Livelihoods and others that have completed proof of concept and are seeking growth investment are invited to apply for the Artha Venture Challenge. A competition that BiD Network entrepreneur & Women in Business 2010 finalist, Meenu Vadera and her company Women on Wheels, excelled in after being nominated in the competition.

Focused on identifying, selecting, supporting and investing the best impact-focused entrepreneurs running businesses in India, each of the winning enterprises will get the opportunity to pitch for upto INR 25 lakh (USD 50K) of funding if matched by the equivalent or more in co-investment.

Artha will also work with the winning cohort to build a compelling growth story, provide exposure to impact investors and profile the enterprises as one of the most high potential social entrepreneurs in India.
