The final event of the Women in Business Challenge, the final event of Dutch competition Ondernemen Zonder Grenzen and the main event of the day, the international final of Get in the Ring: the Investment Battle, all take place on November 21 in Rotterdam. Women in Business

This year BiD Network and ING organized the 5th edition of the Women in Business Challenge. The 5 finalists are inspiring women entrepreneurs from Burundi, South Africa, Peru and Colombia. Additionally, we have selected the 4 best applicants from Kosovo, Rwanda, Liberia and Palestine. During Global Entrepreneurship Week they will all be visiting Amsterdam for a week full of training, business2business and investor meetings and the final event on November 21. Together they represent a broad range of sectors, including mobile technology, financial services and employment services. The winning entrepreneur will be announced during the final event and receives a € 5,000 prize to start and grow her company. Click here for more information about the competition and the finalists. The International Final of Get in the Ring: the Investment Battle

What started with over 2,000 participating startups has been brought down to a selection of 8 finalists: the international final of Get in the Ring. Prior to this big final, BiD Network hosted the regional final of Get in the Ring Africa, an event joined by entrepreneurs and investors from all over Africa. In several pitching rounds 10 promising African entrepreneurs competed for one spot in the international final, an exciting battle which has been won by South African entrepreneur Justin Coetzee with his startup GoMetro. Coetzee will be among 7 other successful and inspiring entrepreneurs from all over the world during the grand final on November 21 in Rotterdam. A jury of 4 Champion Investors and an audience of over 100 business angels, VC’s, entrepreneurs and captains of the industry will decide which startup will win the title of World Champion. Go to the website for more information about Get in the Ring and to get your ticket for the final event.
