BAU KUL (Plum) was invented by Dr M. A Rahim Professor of horticulture department in Bangladesh Agricultural University. BAU KUL is a different kind of plum which is newly experimented and harvested by Bangladesh Agriculture University. Each BAU KUL plum weights 70 to 150 gm, average weight is 90 gm. This means, 8 to 10 plums make one kg.
Characteristics of Bau Kul:

(TSS) sweetness of general plum is 13-18 but BAU KUL has 24.1(TSS).
BAU KUL can cultivate throughout the year.
It is already in demand in the local and international market.
It dominates the market with monopoly characteristics throughout the year.

Good news
This is a good news to develop the countries agricultural sector using non-cultural land. Need technical & financial support to farmers and extension works to motivate them to culture this crop. This is a amaging crop to make the farmaers fincially sound with a minimum investment.
